Mayor to start new round of meetings

Mayor Tom Swisstack will begin a new round of community meetings with Rio Rancho residents next week.

Swisstack has met with community members during several rounds of meetings since taking office in March of 2008, and apparently, it’s time to start making the rounds, again.

He will conduct six public meetings throughout the city during September and October.

“I am eager to follow up with residents who attended my previous meetings,” said Swisstack. “During this next series of meetings I will provide an update on economic development taking place throughout Rio Rancho.”

Community meetings

All meetings from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

District 1: Sept. 29, Maggie Cordova Elementary School, 1500 Veranda Court.

District 2: Oct. 1, Cielo Azul Elementary School, 1550 34th Ave.

District 3: Oct. 6, Colinas del Norte Elementary School, 1001 23rd Ave.

District 4: Oct. 7, Loma Colorado Main Library, 755 Loma Colorado Dr.

District 5: Oct. 13, Cabezon Recreation Center, 2305 Cabezon Blvd.

District 6: Oct. 15, Rio West Community Church, 6751 Pasilla Rd.
