HP hosting job fair

For those looking to work for Hewlett-Packard, the company is hosting a career fair from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Monday at Santa Ana Star Center.

HP has plans to employ 1,350 people by the end of 2012 and the hiring process has begun. Positions HP is looking to fill include inside sales, technical support and technical solutions consultant.

HP plans to open in late December and hopes to have 1,800 full-time employees in 15 years. The company says the majority of the jobs will pay at least $40,000, with an annual payroll of $54 million.

" HPs last job fair brought in 111 job seekers. I was one of them. I got two interviews and was told I would get a call back in a few days. That was in June. Well today is Aug 3rd. Ya think I have even a single "no" response even after my prompt thank you letter and a second reminder in July? No sirreee.

Well that one hundred and eleven fair attendee record is not surprising to me now. Not at all.

Good luck to HP, their clients will need it. "
