Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary, Jerry and Lorna Fossenier

My brothers and I wish to congratulate Jerry and Lorna Fossenier on their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 1.

Jerry and Lorna are originally from Saskatchewan, Canada. Jerry met Lorna on a blind date when he returned home during his school years at Denver University.

After they married on Sept. 1, 1958, they returned to Denver, where Jerry completed his degree in civil engineering.

After Jerry graduated, they moved to Grand Junction, Colo., until 1985 before moving to Rio Rancho, where they currently reside.

The union of this German woman and this Flemish man produced three Irish sons: Patrick, Michael and Thomas. Lorna and Jerry were naturalized as American citizens in the 1960s after their youngest and most attractive son, Thomas, was born. Lorna and Jerry weathered life’s ups and downs during their marriage, but have always kept their sense of humor.

While having always approached their work with an exceptional work ethic, they are mostly retired (Lorna works part-time) and continue to place a priority on family, friends and recreation.

Love,

Patrick, Michael and Thomas
