Santa Ana Star Casino, one of New Mexico’s leading Native American gaming casinos, is introducing a concert series of “tribute shows” to honor the music industry’s greatest performers. Beginning on June 4 and continuing throughout the year, the performances include tributes to Jimmy Buffett, Neil Diamond, The Beatles, The Coasters, and the Rat Pack.

“Santa Ana Star Casino’s concert series of tribute bands is designed to provide our guests with music from some of the world’s best bands,” said Scott Eldredge, director of marketing for Santa Ana Star Casino. “While these are not the actual performers, the impersonators do an excellent job bringing the bands and their music to life. The performances are fun and nostalgic, and everyone is dancing or cheering by the end of the concert. In the tradition of Las Vegas-style shows, the concert series allows the casino to bring its guests show-stopping performances honoring some of the greatest music legends in modern history.”

Jimmy Buffett

“Adventures in Parrotdise n A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett” is a performance that honors Jimmy Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band. Performing as Buffett, Lead Singer Barrie Cunningham plays his greatest hits including “Come Monday,” “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” “Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes,” and “Margaritaville.”

The show also features songs Buffett recorded including Van Morrison’s “Brown Eyed Girl,” Crosby, Stills, Nash &Young’s nautical hit “Southern Cross,” as well as recent hit duet with Alan Jackson “It’s 5 o’clock Somewhere.” Original Coral Reefer Band members, Fingers Taylor and Roger Bartlett, join Cunningham and his band to make “Adventures in Parrotdise” the only Jimmy Buffett tribute show that plays indefinitely at major Las Vegas-based hotels and casinos.

Neil Diamond

Since 1966, Neil Diamond has sold more than 120 million albums and to this day is still a top 10 grossing touring artist. The tribute concert recreates the legendary performances of the music superstar in the high-energy musical production “Neil Diamond: Hot August Nights.” This show features some of Diamond’s greatest hits from the 1960s to present. The band performs “Cherry Cherry,” “Sweet Caroline,” “Red Red Wine,” “Song Sung Blue,” “I Am…I Said,” “Love on the Rocks,” and “Coming to America.”

The Beatles

“The Stars of Beatlemania” take guests through the revolutionary musical career of The Beatles including the very first live American performance on the Ed Sullivan Show to the psychedelic “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” and finally “Abby Road.”

Based on the Broadway musical “Beatlemania,” the Fab Four is played by David Leon as John Lennon, Alan LeBoeuf as Paul McCartney, David Brighton as George Harrison, and Carroll Parker as Ringo Starr. David Leon has had the longest run of any individual cast member. His recreation of John Lennon is nearly identical from his physical appearance to his voice. Alan LeBouf who plays Paul McCartney was also in the original musical on Broadway.

Cornell Gunter’s Coasters

Cornell Gunter’s Coasters performs the classic rock ‘n’ roll hits of the 1950s and 1960s from the legendary Coasters of whom the late Cornell Gunter was a member. It combines the classic Coasters sound of yesterday, with the band’s vocal abilities, song writing and humor. The band will perform the classic hits “Love Potion # 9,” “Yakety Yak,” and “Charlie Brown.” Using precision choreography, humor, and audience participation, the show has consistently broken attendance records and received rave reviews around the world.

The Rat Pack

The tribute concert, “The Las Vegas Summit,” is a recreation of the world famous Rat Pack of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. Named after the Rat Pack’s original performances, the show transports audiences back to when the unforgettable trio excited audiences nightly in the Copa Room at the Sands Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The performers look, sound and act like Frank, Dean and Sammy including their comedic on-stage antics and costumes. This show is not affiliated with TRP Entertainment, LLC, DRDC Production, Inc., “The Rat Pack is Back-A Tribute to Frank, Sammy, Joey and Dean” or any other tribute shows to the Rat Pack.

Santa Ana Star Casino’s concert series begins on June 4 with “Adventures in Parrotdise n A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett.” “Neil Diamond: Hot August Nights” performs on July 16 and “The Stars of Beatlemania” takes to the stage on August 13. The Balloon Fiesta brings Cornell Gunter’s Coasters on October 10, and “The Las Vegas Summit” comes to Santa Ana Star Casino on New Year’s Eve.
