Both chapter members and non-members are invited to meet the new officers and board who will be introduced during a full-course dinner with wine tasting. Cost is $30. Baby Boot Camp business first anniversary

Moms get fit at Baby Boot Camp in Rio Rancho. Baby Boot Camps are available in over 300 locations nationwide including a brand new Rio Rancho and Albuquerque location. Baby Boot Camp offers unique 75-minute outdoor and 55-minute indoor workouts designed specifically to help new moms get back into shape after having a baby. This innovative, fun and highly effective format combines strength-training exercises with cardiovascular drills to maximize fitness for time-crunched moms. This boot camp-style formula increases strength and tones muscles while boosting energy levels and increasing cardiovascular endurance. Classes are held outdoors or indoors (depending on temperature), and moms bring their babies in strollers or joggers as an integral part of the workout. Being able to bring their children to class eliminates the stress, guilt and added expense of finding childcare. Studies have shown that exercising with other new moms can help alleviate the Baby Blues which manifest mild to severe symptoms in over 70 percent of postpartum women. In fact, a recent study in the International Journal of Nursing showed that moms participating in a stroller-based fitness program (like Baby Boot Camp) significantly reduced their symptoms of depression compared to those who attended a support group. Group discussions after class, playgroup events and Mom’s Night Out activities make Baby Boot Camp much more than a fitness class—it’s a support group for active moms (and dads).

Baby Boot Camp CEO and founder Kristen Horler says, “Women are the influencers … They are doing the grocery shopping, cooking family meals and making the purchasing decisions.”

Rio Rancho Baby Boot Camp owner Nadja Epler thinks,“I’ve always wanted to have my own business, but when I became a mom, I found myself wanting to stay home with my son. Baby Boot Camp allows me to work for myself and be with my son. An added bonus is that I get to be involved in the fitness industry and be active, which I’ve always strived to do. I think it’s great that we are setting an example for our kids and reaping the benefits of regular exercise, ourselves.”

Epler celebrated her one-year anniversary as owner/operator of the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho area Baby Boot Camp in April.

There is a Grand Opening celebration planned for our new Rio Rancho location at Haynes Park on May 31. This will be our annual Daddy’s Day celebration with door prizes, contests, a workout for the whole family and a cookout afterwards.

Baby Boot Camp currently holding outdoor classes at Mariposa Basin Park, Montgomery Park and Haynes Park. All classes start at 9:30 a.m. Classes are suitable for all fitness levels. Visit babybootcamp.com for more details or call 715-2307.

" I am interested in contacting Dr. Glenn Wiltse. Do you know if he is still alive? I located his phone number for
Albuquerque, NM and the operator said that this phone was no longer in service.
I would appreciate any information that you can give me. Thanks so much.

" Where is the schedule? The title is misleading and I didn't get the information I wanted. "

" If you REALLY want to encourage people to vote, ADD a Voting Chart as the headline suggests including the information in a concise, easy to read document! This is too busy and annoying to encourage voters.
    Thank you. "
