“Congratulations to the Rio Rancho High School Class of 2008. No matter where you go, no matter what you do, believe you are special. Believe in you.”

“I’m just calling to say that we have a lot of whining, inconsiderate people in Rio Rancho. I have lived here since 1987 and have never heard of anybody charging to go to a public school. Rio Rancho needs to rethink this because they’re going to make a lot of people want to move and put their kids somewhere else. It’s ridiculous n they’re stupid about it. Rethink it. Secondly, regarding the RV situation, if it’s their property it’s nobody else’s business. The state shouldn’t have the right to tell somebody, ‘Oh, you can’t pout that stuff in your yard.’ If it’s their property, they’re buying the house, it’s their business, it’s none of your business, mind your own business or fork over the money for them to put it in storage.”

“For the person who called in the investigation for the polybutylene pipe installed in houses built between 1978-1995, the following is a 1-800 number for more information regarding that. It’s 1-800-392-7591.”

“Is it true from what I read in Rants & Raves that the fancy new hospital that’s coming out here on Unser is not going to accept Blue Cross/Blue Shield customers? My husband and I have been under Blue Cross/Blue Shield for 35 or 40 years. We’re not likely to change anytime soon. Please don’t tell us we’re going to get a new facility and they’re going to be able to discriminate and pick and choose what customers they help and what patents they take care of and what patients they don’t. That is just not right and it’s not fair and I want to know what we can do about it.”

(Editor’s note: I am a customer at the Presbyterian Medical Center and they take my Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance).

“I’m wondering if there’s any chance they can move the parade from the old City Hall up to the memorial center thing (Veterans Monument Park) near the library instead of going just around the corner, a short distance. People decorate and everything just to go around the corner n it’s really stupid. So it’d be a little longer to go from the old City Hall, make it worthwhile. People watch.”

“This president removed Mr. Mason, chairman of the SEC, because he dared to say Mr. McCain is not following the law when he chose public funding and then went back to regular campaign funding. Mr. Mason was removed and one of the president’s cronies was put in his place. McCain must think he has the same right to lie and cheat as this president does. I have the same respect for Mr. McCain as I have for pond scum. He may have been a good man once, but he’s lost his decency.”

“I’m reading this little booklet that PNM took great pains and expense to publish saying they’re closing the Rio Rancho office, where you can go in and pay in person. Nowhere in the thing do I see where you can turn on your utilities, or where you can go and talk to someone in person. Does this mean they’re totally out of Rio Rancho and we’ll have to go ‘way down into the city? And what’s this 888-DIALPNM? It would be much easier if they would put the straight phone number. I can’t see these blasted numbers on my cell phone. What a shame n Rio Rancho loses something else.”

“The CEO from Exxon Oil was on TV this week, and they’re reporting a 17 percent increase in their profits. However, there’s nothing on the news about any new refineries being built in this country. Isn’t that interesting?”

“The city seems very concerned with all this landscaping. It’s spending millions to put trees and shrubs down the middle of the road. Must be that they’re using the budget that they should be using for painting the striping on the streets. That mess at Northern and Unser boulevards? I can’t see the striping or the lines during the day. I almost got hit because I didn’t know where to go to make a left-hand turn south on Unser.”

“The Democratic Party obstructs production of oil and construction of refineries for the purpose of get higher priced oil and gas so they can control our behavior and benefit their special interests. They foster fear of man made global warming (it’s the sun stupid). When asked what they are going to do, they say drilling and refineries are 10 years away and won’t help, and 10 years ago they said the same thing. They have not interest in lower priced oil and gas. Their answers are made to make you feel better but have no substance.”

“A few years ago when my spouse and I were attempting to adopt a child from CYFD, our child also had a CASA representative. That representative made our lives a living hell. She conspired with a guardian ad litem to discredit us and have our child removed from our home. The judge in the matter saw through both of these women, and both of these women were threatened with lawsuits if they did not step away from the case. The new CASA we never saw; the new G.A.L. had no problem with us. The judge has since asked the other two to no longer represent our wonderful children of New Mexico who need homes. So don’t tell me how wonderful CASA is n I’m not interested in hearing it. I’ve got the horror stories on my side. I certainly hope you print this so other people will realize it’s not just a “goody-two-shoes” operation. There is hate and debauchery within the CASA walls as well.”

Thank you! Thank you, light Green Hyundai Elantra, license number GCT 834, for throwing your cigarette out of your window while still in Albuquerque before entering Rio Rancho. Thank you so much for not littering our fine streets here. Who cares about Albuquerque, right?
