Further education included study at Stanford University and Harvard Medical School, where he completed his Doctor of Medicine degree. Eller spent several years in postgraduate training positions and fellowships at the University of Pennsylvania and The Johns Hopkins Oncology Center in Baltimore.
His research and clinical experience has spanned a period of approximately 20 years, focusing on the molecular biology of tumor viruses, human immunology, blood and marrow transplantation, leukemia and novel approaches to the treatment of patients with solid tumors.
The New Mexico Cancer Center in Rio Rancho opened in March 2007 at 3791 Southern Blvd., Suite 100.
The facility is a branch of the New Mexico Cancer Center in Albuquerque, which is operated by New Mexico Oncology Hematology Consultants, Ltd., which was founded in 1987. The New Mexico Cancer Center opened in 2002 at its current location, 4901 Lang Ave. NE, just off I-25 and Paseo del Norte.
The independent practice, which provides 40 percent of the cancer care in New Mexico, is a leader in providing cutting-edge treatment for adult cancers and blood-related disorders using a multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach.
It is staffed with 10 medical oncologists, five radiation oncologists and 177 support personnel.
The practice provides cancer care in Albuquerque, Gallup, Rio Rancho, Ruidoso and Silver City and accepts many types of insurance.
The Center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and accepts many kinds of insurance.
