The police received a silent alarm from First Federal Credit Union, located on NM 528 and 21st Avenue at 5:17 p.m., according to Rio Rancho police spokesman John Francis.

Officers were immediately dispatched and upon arrival learned that two suspects had entered the bank, brandishing black semi-automatic handguns.

They left with an undetermined amount of cash and fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspects are described as black males in their late teens or early 20s. They were wearing baseball caps and wore bandanas over their faces.

Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 843-STOP. Witnesses may remain anonymous.
