The Albuquerque City Council appointed Roger C. Nagel to the board of the city’s Accountability in Government Oversight Committee.

He brings 30 years of experience as a CPA, with a concentration in managerial accounting to the position. His term expires in 2010.

Nagel is managing member of Nagel: MSC, LLC and most recently CFO for Sandia Preparatory School. Nagel was co-founder and former managing partner of Burt & Nagel, CPA’s, LLC. Nagel: MSC, LLC is located at 3041 Corrales Road in Corrales and can be reached at 898-2558. Nagel will open offices at 3611 NM 528, Suite D in Albuquerque for the 2008 tax season. Nagel, managing member, instituted the move, along with changing the name of the firm from Nagel MSC as a part of a program to provide an expanded list of services. The firm will concentrate on tax planning and preparation, financial and estate planning, and qualified consulting for non-profit and multi-owner entities. Among the positions he has held in his nearly 30 years as a CPA, in the Albuquerque are CFO at Sandia Prep and managing director at Burt & Nagel CPA’s, LLC. Nagel is currently serving by special appointment to the Albuquerque Accountability in Government Oversight Committee.
