Nagel picked for new post in government

The Albuquerque City Council appointed Roger C. Nagel to the board of the city’s Accountability in Government Oversight Committee.

He brings 30 years of experience as a CPA, with a concentration in managerial accounting to the position. His term expires in 2010.

Nagel is managing member of Nagel: MSC, LLC and most recently CFO for Sandia Preparatory School. Nagel was co-founder and former managing partner of Burt & Nagel, CPA’s, LLC. Nagel: MSC, LLC is located at 3041 Corrales Road in Corrales and can be reached at 898-2558.

Nagel will open offices at 3611 NM 528, Suite D in Albuquerque for the 2008 tax season. Nagel, managing member, instituted the move, along with changing the name of the firm from Nagel MSC as a part of a program to provide an expanded list of services. The firm will concentrate on tax planning and preparation, financial and estate planning, and qualified consulting for non-profit and multi-owner entities. Among the positions he has held in his nearly 30 years as a CPA, in the Albuquerque are CFO at Sandia Prep and managing director at Burt & Nagel CPA’s, LLC. Nagel is currently serving by special appointment to the Albuquerque Accountability in Government Oversight Committee.

    " On August 28Th 2008 at approx 9 ;15 am i was at Smith"s doing some grocery shopping. After going to the bank and getting my rent money out. Well getting out of my car i dropped my wallet and i want to thank whoever turned it in to the smiths Mgr BUT i hope the 350.00 you STOLE out of it {which was my rent money} you spend it wisely... and i hope you never lose your money cause you will know then the hurt you caused my family.. enjoy it while it last "
